EUROSOIL 2008 will be held in Vienna (Austria) the days 25-29 August 2008, in co-operation between the soil science societies of Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland. EUROSOIL 2008 will comprise about 30 Symposia, 4 Workshops and numerous 1 to 3 day excursions in Central, Eastern, Southern and Western Europe.

Innovative Moisture Measurement in Research and Practice

Many applications in areas like architecture, geotechnique, hydrology and environmental technology require information about the distribution of moisture in the investigated materials and structures. Innovative methods of measuring were developed to gather these information. These methods will be presented and discussed.

Innovative Feuchtemessung in Forschung und Praxis

Die Forschergruppe Feuchtemesstechnik bewirbt sich um eine Förderung durch die DFG. Ziel ist eine Verbesserung des Verständnisses von gekoppelten hydraulisch/mechanischen Prozessen in Böden und porösen Medien. Dies erfordert auch verbesserte Messmethoden für eine genauere Quantifizierung des Feuchtegehaltes sowie von feuchteabhängigen Zustandsgrößen. In diesem Workshop soll über neue Erkenntnisse zu Prozessen und Messmethoden berichtet und diskutiert werden.
