  1.  promotional email communication

5.1 Registration to receive emails

You have the option of registering for our promotional email communication, with which we regularly inform you about news, for example concerning our products.

Double opt-in procedure: Registration for our newsletter is always carried out using a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with someone else's email address. Registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored by the shipping service provider are also logged. We process your personal data, with the exception of your email address, to personalize your newsletter and to send industry-relevant information about the industry in which your company operates. In addition, your personal data enables us to classify you into defined target groups in order to improve the relevance of the communicated content you receive (e.g. country-specific information that contains content related to your country).

The legal basis for the above-mentioned processing operations in the context of advertising email communication is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

If you no longer wish to receive promotional email communications from us, you can unsubscribe at any time, e.g. by clicking on the link provided in each email.

5.2 Promotional email communication after product purchase

If you have purchased products, software or services through our website, we may send you our promotional email communications, even without prior registration to receive emails, to the email address you provided at the time of purchase. This applies to promotional email communications promoting products similar to those you purchased through our website.

For this purpose, this email address is stored in our database. To prove the legitimacy of sending the promotional email communication, we also store the IP address you used when making the purchase and the time of purchase.

The legal basis for the above-mentioned processing operations is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest in data processing is the direct promotion of our products to our customers as well as your interest in offers and promotions.

If you no longer wish to receive promotional email communications from us, you can unsubscribe at any time, e.g. by clicking on the link provided in each email.

We use Inxmail. Inxmail is an email marketing software from Germany.

The email addresses of our email recipients, as well as the other data described in this privacy policy, are stored on Inxmail's servers in the EU. Inxmail uses this information to send and evaluate emails on our behalf.

Furthermore, Inxmail can use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the sending and display of emails or for commercial purposes to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, Inxmail does not use the data of our email recipients to write to them itself or to pass it on to third parties.

We have concluded an agreement with Inxmail regarding order processing (Art. 28 GDPR).

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Mailchimp based on the standard contractual clauses.

5.4 Evaluation of advertising emails

We would like to point out that we can evaluate the user behavior of the recipients of our advertising email communication. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files. For the evaluations, we link the collected data or parts of it and the web beacons with your email address and an individual ID.

Links received in promotional email communications also contain this ID. We use the data obtained in this way to create a user profile in order to better tailor promotional email communications to your interests. We record when you read our emails, which links you click on in them and use this to determine your personal interests. We may link this data to actions you perform on our website.

The legal basis for the evaluation described above is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 Letter a) GDPR), which you can give us voluntarily when registering for promotional email communication. This also applies if promotional email communication is sent after a purchase without separate registration for email communication. Our legitimate interest in data processing as part of tracking is our need to be able to better tailor our promotional email communication to the interests of our customers.

You can object to the tracking described above at any time by unsubscribing from promotional email communications.

  1.  deletion of data

The data we process will be deleted in accordance with legal requirements as soon as the consents for processing are revoked or other permissions no longer apply (e.g. if the purpose of processing this data no longer applies or it is no longer required for the purpose).

If the data is not deleted because it is required for other legally permissible purposes, its processing will be restricted to these purposes. This means that the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to data that must be retained for commercial or tax law reasons or whose storage is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person.

Further information on the deletion of personal data can also be found in the individual data protection notices of this data protection declaration.

  1.  processing by third parties
  2.  web analytics services and advertising

7.1 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States of America and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google.

You can prevent cookies from being saved by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in provided by Google: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

Instead of a browser plug-in or within browsers on mobile devices, an opt-out cookie can be set using the following link: The opt-out cookie prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. Deactivate Google Analytics.

Instead of a browser plug-in or within browsers on mobile devices, an opt-out cookie can be set using the following link: The opt-out cookie prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. However, it only works in this browser and for this domain. If your cookies have been deleted in this browser, you will need to click on the above link again.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This means that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, which means that they cannot be linked to a person. If the data collected about you is personally identifiable, this is immediately excluded and the personal data is deleted immediately.

Demographic features of Google Analytics

This website uses the "demographics" feature of Google Analytics to create reports that contain information about the age, gender and interests of visitors. This data comes from Google's interest-based advertising and from visitor data from third parties, including Google Accounts, Gmail, YouTube and Google Display Network. The data cannot be assigned to an individual person. You can opt out of this feature at any time in the settings of your Google account or opt out of the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in this section.

We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website and to regularly improve it. Using the statistics obtained, we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is the consent granted in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter a) of GDPR.

7.2 Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager as part of Google Analytics. Tags are small code elements on our website that are used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behavior, record the impact of online advertising and social media, use remarketing and targeting, and test and optimize the website. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows Busch to manage website tags via one interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookieless domain. The tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Further information about Google Tag Manager can be found on the Internet at: https://www.google.com/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/

  1.  Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to websites operated by third parties that are not covered by this privacy policy. These third-party websites have their own privacy policies and may also use cookies or other tracking technologies. The respective operator or the person designated as responsible for the respective website is responsible.

We check the links to external websites before linking. However, we have no influence on whether their operators comply with data protection regulations. If we become aware of any violations or infringements of law, we will remove the relevant links.

  1.  Social Media
  2.  Basic information about plugins and embedded functions and content

We incorporate functional and content elements into our online offering that are obtained from the servers of their respective providers (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers"). These may include, for example, graphics, videos or social media buttons as well as posts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as "content").

The integration always requires that the third-party providers of this content process the IP address of the user, since without the IP address they would not be able to send the content to their browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content or functions. We endeavor to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. Third-party providers can also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. The "pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information can also be stored in cookies on the user's device and can contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, the referring website, the time of the visit and other information about the use of our online offer, as well as be linked to such information from other sources.

Notes on legal basis: If we ask users for their consent to use third-party providers, the legal basis for processing data is consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR, Section 25 TDDDG). Otherwise, user data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in efficient, economical and recipient-friendly services) (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR). In this context, we would also like to draw your attention to the following information on the use of the third-party provider's data protection declaration.

Types of data processed: Usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times), meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses), contact data (e.g. e-mail, telephone numbers), content data (e.g. text entries, photographs, videos), inventory data (e.g. names, addresses).

Affected persons: Users (e.g. website visitors, users of online services), communication partners.

9.2.2 YouTube

We use the YouTube player to integrate videos from a YouTube channel or videos from other providers into the website.

We use the YouTube no-cookies function, i.e. we have activated extended data protection, videos are not accessed via youtube.com, but via youtube-nocookie.com. This is provided by YouTube itself and ensures that YouTube does not initially store any cookies on your device. However, when the relevant pages are accessed, the IP address and the other data mentioned in section B.2 are transmitted and thus, in particular, which of our Internet pages you have visited. However, this information cannot be assigned to you if you are permanently logged in to YouTube or another Google service when you access the page.

As soon as you start the playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only stores cookies on your device through the extended data protection mode, which do not contain any personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to a Google service. These cookies can be prevented using the appropriate browser settings and extensions.

We use the extended data protection mode, which, according to the provider, only initiates the storage of user information when the video is played. The moment the embedded video starts playing, YouTube uses cookies to collect information about user behaviour. According to information from YouTube, these are used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behaviour.

Irrespective of playback of the embedded videos, a connection to the Google ‘DoubleClick’ network is established each time this website is accessed, which can trigger further data processing operations without our influence.

  1.  Video surveillance

We use video surveillance on our property.

Video surveillance is used to exercise domiciliary rights and to prevent criminal offences as well as to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. The legal basis for video surveillance is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, whereby our interests arise from the aforementioned purposes. Insofar as special types of personal data are processed, this is done on the basis of Art. 9 para. 2 lit. f GDPR.

The data may be passed on to service providers commissioned by us and bound by our instructions, who perform monitoring tasks for us. In the event of suspicion of criminal offences, we may also pass on the data to lawyers, insurance companies and law enforcement authorities. We only pass on the data if there is a legal basis for doing so.

Personal data is not processed outside the European Union in the context of video surveillance.

Data from video surveillance is deleted once the purpose for which it was collected has been achieved or no longer applies. Data may be stored for a period of several years if there are facts that justify the assumption that actions can be seen on recordings from a limited period of time that are to be prosecuted as a criminal offence or used to assert civil law claims.

  1.  Final provisions
  2.  Security

We have taken technical and organisational security measures in accordance with Art. 24, 32 GDPR to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All our employees and all third parties involved in data processing are obliged to comply with the requirements of the GDPR and to handle personal data confidentially.

SSL or TLS encryption: This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

  1.  Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures if this becomes necessary due to technical developments, the expansion of our services or legal changes. In such cases, we will also adapt our privacy policy accordingly. Please therefore refer to the latest version of our privacy policy.
